Charitable Giving

Benton Community Foundation’s donors come from all income levels and philanthropic interests. They share one thing in common – a keen desire to help others improve their quality of life. There are many reasons our donors contribute:

Donate online or mail your check, payable to Benton Community Foundation, to PO Box 351, Fowler IN 47944. Donations can also be dropped off at our office, located in the Demeter Building at 98 S 100 E, Fowler, during regular business hours.

Memorial Gifts

A donation is a wonderful way to celebrate the life of someone from our community. The Foundation will mail a letter to the deceased family informing them of your gift (amount will not be included).

Honorary Gifts

Hard to find the perfect gift? Want to thank a neighbor for a kind deed? So often, we find ourselves wanting to give a special gift to someone who doesn’t wish to receive. When you give a donation in their honor, we will send them a special note acknowledging the gift (amount will not be included).

Annual Giving

We are blessed with a giving community that supports our work throughout the year. Gifts of every amount are recognized and provided a receipt for tax purposes.

Legacy

Numerous families have started funds within the Foundation over the years, often in the name of a loved one. Establishing your own fund within the Foundation allows you to provide everlasting support to a charitable cause of your choosing and creates a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.

Every gift can be designated to a specific fund or given to our general grant making fund. The Board of Directors uses the general grant dollars to serve a variety of needs in the community. Each year brings new needs and opportunities to make a difference….from adult education programs to our Theatre restoration project.

Though the most common form of a gift is cash, there can be great tax advantage for gifts of other types of assets. Contact the Foundation to learn more about gifts of stock, real estate, grain, insurance policies and many others. Looking for information about giving through your estate or gifts that still provide income? Visit our planned giving page for more information!
